Club Directors

Kaz Jednorog, born in Poland has been involved with Sport & Circus all his life. Competing, coaching and performing in many countries around the world, he has many skills and experience that will be beneficial to club participants. His qualifications include;

  • 1967:  Qualified to become a gymnastics coach
  • 1968 : Qualified as a Trampoline & Sports Acrobatic Coach in Poland
  • 1967 :- 1970: Representative of the Polish National Acrobatic team, competing in numerous international competitions
  • 1970 – 1982: International performer in the National Polish Circus
  • 1982: Established a new home in Australia with his family where he started coaching & performing including:
    • Circus Royale
    • Wildcats Basketball Cheer-leading Team for competition in the United States of America
    • Trained Scarborough Repertory Acrobatics Team
    • Trained Armadale Circus School in Acrobatics and Circus skills
    • Gymnastics relief coach at Christ Church Grammar School in Claremont
  • 1985: Established Perth Sports Acrobatics Company with Irina Jednorog and Lindsay Nyland, former Olympic gymnast representative . Classes were conducted in all areas of the Perth metropolitan area
  • 1990: Kaz obtains his level 2 Australian Accreditation Certificate  for Womens and Mens Gymnastics and soon after becomes the head coach of Kenwick District Youth Club
  • 1997: Together with his wife Irina, established Jednorog Gymnastics Academy in Beckenham, Western Australia

Since 1995, Kaz has been state coach on many occasions and has produced many national level 10 gymnasts who have represented Western Australia.

Irina Jednorog was born in Romania into a family circus where she learned acrobatics with her family. Juggling, pirch pole

  • 1964 – 1976: Flying Trapeze Performer with the Romanian National Circus Troupe
  • 1977 – 1982: Traveled in Europe with her future husband Kaz as professional performer
  • 1982: Arrived into Australia to perform in Circus Royale with Kaz
  • 1985: Established Sports Acrobatics Company
  • 1988 – 1990: Gained both level 1 and then level 2 Australian Gymnastics Coaching Accreditation whist coaching at Kenwick Districts Youth Club
  • 1995: State Coach for National Level 8 Gymnastics
  • 1997: Opened Jednorog Gymnastics Academy with husband Kas coaching Gymnastics and Sports Acrobatics
  • Gained Sports Acrobatic Coaching Accreditation
