Sports Acrobatics
Acrobatics is a performing art and really one of the ancient sports disciplines popular in China. The modern acrobatics known today originated in Easter European Countries. Modern sports acrobatics seems to have evolved from many different directions, the most important ones being offshoots from professional and amateur performing arts and gymnastics. Sports acro in Australia is a relatively new sport developing rapidly in association with Gymnastics Australia.
Jednorog Gymnastics Academy is placing strong emphasis on the development of this sport. Competition classes include groups of the following;
- Women’s Duo (Women’s Pairs)
- Women’s Trio
- Men’s Duo (Men’s Pairs)
- Mixed Duo (Mixed Pairs)
- Mens Fours
Participants are selected based on their ability and commitment to the sport but also their ability to work as a member of a team.
